5 FRIDAYS OF JAZZ HALLMARKS MILESTONE OF MUSIC PROGRAMMING

For the 10th year in a row, the coolest cats in town will return to Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library to convert the quiet hall into a listening lab as Shell on Wheels presents 5 Fridays of Jazz. In partnership with the Memphis Library Foundation, Memphis Public Libraries, and the City of Memphis, every Friday from February 27th until March 27th, will feature unique sounds, satisfying sips, snacks, and more.

“Our continued partnership with the Memphis Library Foundation allows us to build community outside of the historic stage,” said Yolanda Kelly, Shell on Wheels Outreach Manager. “We're excited to see familiar faces, and connect with new entertainers, as we spotlight local musicians, and celebrate Memphis’ rich music history.”

To complement the rotating lineup of local talent, tasty food and beverages will be available for purchase, provided by Jus Enuff Concessions and Kaye’s Pints and Scoops.

The line-up is as follows:

  • February 27, 2026 - Joyce Cobb ft. Rhodes Jazz Ensemble

  • March 6, 2026 - Central High School Jazz Band

  • March 13, 2026 - The Soul Ingredient

  • March 20, 2026 - D’Monet

  • March 27, 2026 - The Galaxy's Edge Quintet

Performances will run for 90 minutes, starting at 6:30PM and concluding at 8PM.

As the Overton Park Shell embarks on its 90th anniversary, Shell on Wheels is hitting the road to turn up the volume across the community. Stay tuned for more festivities to come at the historic venue, and in a neighborhood near you.
