About the Event:
Join us on Saturday, September 12th, as we turn the pages on our 90th Anniversary scrapbook of great musical memories at the Overton Park Shell. We start with selections from The Pirates of Penzance celebrating the M.O.A.T days to a swinging big band. The page turning continues as the finest Memphis musicians pay homage to Johnny Cash, the big E, Rufus Thomas, Bonnie Raitt, Little Feat, the historic blues festivals right on through to today’s amazing concerts.
Sounds of the Shell is presented by David, producer and author of Memphis Mayhem.
